Admission Requirements of UMTC (University of Mindanao Tagum College)

As a transferee student, I realize people should also be aware on the admission requirements needed when transferring or the willingness to study in UMTC.

If you want to study at UMTC, you must be able to provide the following requirements:

• TOR (Transcript of Records) / SPR (Students Permanent Record) - where the grades are shown and an official seal is provided by the city government and the institution particularly the last school you attended. Usually, you must pay at least 200PHP to get this record and wait for 1 week depending on the schools effectiveness. On my experience, I only paid 150PHP and waited 3 days. My brother waited 1 week
• Photocopy of NSO Birth Certificate - UMTC advises the students to get their Brith Certificate from NSO (National Statistic Office) to avoid conflicts and registration problems. It would take 1 week to 1 month depending on its process. TAKE NOTE: Just give them the PHOTO COPY
•  4 pieces 2x2 Picture - For Record's purposes
• Certificate of Good Moral - Go to the last school you attended and seek first the Registrar, ask for guidelines and steps on how to transfer. In my case, I went to the Registrar and told me to pay more or less. 400PHP for Good Moral and Honorable Dismissal. You need to ask for the signature of the DSA, Dean of College, Librarian, Clinic Staff, Laboratory Staff and the Guidance Councilor before they give to you your good moral for the approval of the final signing of clearance. It took me 1 week to wait and get my Good Moral.
• Certificate of Honorable Dismissal - Just as I said, I paid the processing fee, went to the officers for signing the clearance and waited for just minutes in order to get my honorable dismissal. I get it from the Registrar and told me further instructions.
• Barangay/Purok Clearance - This is to show if you are truly residing on the place you're living. :)
• Marriage Contract (if Married) - Well, it's also as important as Birth Certificate especially when your married.

As a new student in a new school with a new environment together with new circle of friends, I wonder what would my life be if I bring myself down to earth and start a new beginning - a beginning that would last forever.

According to an unknown author who provides a very creative quote "College isn't about having high grades, it's about finishing and surviving the course", provides a good meaning to the fact that people nowadays doesn't even care about having a degree...

This is me today after writing my BLOG :)

By the way, I was once a student from another school here is Tagum City. Maybe, it was little impulsive in my part to decide and to transfer to another school with so many reasons. Somehow if given a chance, I would like too, however, there are many reasons behind those facts so I decided to stick to the plan and set the course I've took up. I am now taking up Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and in now a certified 3rd Year Student of UMTC (University of Mindanao Tagum College).

I was enrolled last May 22, 2013 together with some of my friends from different courses and year levels.


Here are the list of the Enrollment Schedule:

• FIRST YEAR STUDENTS (FRESHMEN) - MAY 20-21, 2013
• SECOND YEAR STUDENTS (SOPHOMORES) - MAY 22-23, 2013
• THIRD YEAR STUDENTS (JUNIORS) - MAY 24-25, 2013
• FOURTH YEAR STUDENTS (SENIORS) - MAY 26-27, 2013
• TRANSFEREE STUDENTS - MAY 28-ONWARD

The classes will start this June 10, 2013 for the 1st Term of the 1st Semester 2013-2014.
